Menaggio
Menaggio offers a balance between lively and laid-back. One of my host families brought me here from Gallarate (closer to Milan), and we drove to Bellaggio and took the ferry to Menaggio. Mennaggio is so much less crowded, has an incredible gelato shop, and my host families little girl was able to use her roller skates all over the place! We had a ball walking (and skating) along the water! The drive back around the lake was also stunning – they were very excited to point out George Clooney’s villa, haha.
