When you think of LuLaRoe, maybe you’re like me and you find it hard to buy into a concept where you compliment someones leggings only to be told you have to search the globe to find the same pair. I’m technically a millennial and I need it now, know what I mean? If I can’t have the unicorn leggings too, what am I even doing?
But then again? Maybe you think of LuLaRoe, and you think of the success it’s brought you and countless others in creating a way of life where you can turn a passion for style into an income. Maybe you think of it as a group of women within which you’ve found your tribe and your purpose, and a way of life!
Either way you look it at, when it came to LuLaRoe, I had a few reservations, and it’s become obvious to me trying it for myself that the good things about LuLaRoe far outweigh the aspects I’d taken as making it inaccessible. I love the inclusivity of the brand and that it’s accessible for women ranging from XXS-XXL, and that the fabrics and styles they use translate well to virtually any body type.
I was impressed to see that over the years they don’t have just leggings and a dress or two to bring to the table. They’ve branched out into several cool styles and patterns appropriate for women of all walks of life. Also, its hard to be mad at a company that empowers women to create an empire and be a total #GirlBoss. I want to support that, even if I can’t have the unicorns. But also, I want what I want for my money…so I continued to hesitate.
So, how did this change of heart even happen, you may wonder?
I happen to be a part of an amazing network of travel-loving Boss Babes, and through this group, I met Callie. I see Callie traveling all over, and always wearing bright, fun and colorful clothes! She recently reached out to me and offered to give me some pieces from her online boutique, Rocking and Roeing, to share on my social media outlets. It was a way for both of us to expand our reach, and with her new Center Stage Subscription Box launching (unboxing, anyone?), I was excited (and curious) to see what she had in store for me!
Some of my favorite things about the Center Stage Subscription? You can input your shirt AND pant size into the order form (great for girls like me that vary 2-3 sizes in one area from the other)! Pieces like the Jill skirt helped me finally use a cute mustard cami hanging in my closet, and the Shirley kimono totally elevated a super casual jeans and cami look! Also, I wear a 16 in jeans and a L/XL in most tops. The dresses and skirt were all a size XL and the kimono was a Medium….even with my larger upper arms that generally warrant sizing up! Plus, I wear yoga pants to work…so the comfort level of these items was a major bonus. I look dressed up, but my breathing and moving weren’t inhibited in the slightest by these breathable fabrics.
That said, these items make for GREAT options for girls-on-the-go, and for the Jetsetter who doesn’t have time or motivation to iron or steam everything from her suitcase. Plus, you can travel in style AND comfort…and get yourself that business class upgrade without wearing real pants.
I personally feel like the value of this subscription is amazing, because now you know you’re getting something unique, stylish, and more exclusive. You’re getting items that have great comfort and quality, but you’re adding the element of surprise and jazzing up your mail situation (because bills are old news, am I right?)! There are a lot of LuLaRoe distributors and ambassadors, but this concept is pretty groundbreaking…and I’m HERE for it.
Also, the box isn’t limited to just clothing items, there will also be lifestyle items and accessories too! This seems like a cool way to put together a “capsule wardrobe” of some more unique and versatile pieces to use seasonally-and you can rest assured with Callie curating that you’ll always be on trend, too!
You can check her out on Instagram and see for yourself!
Some highlights of the Center Stage Subscription (straight from the Rocking and Roeing site):
“Every month, your box will feature one or more pieces of incredible fashion from the boutique’s fashion collection. The piece’s color/print(s) will be a mystery, but we will announce the coming month’s featured style in our online community (click here to join) in the days leading up to the launch of that box. All featured styles will fit sizes xxs/xs-3xl.
In addition to these wardrobe-building style pieces, your box will have incredible hand-curated fashion and lifestyle items. Accessories, jewelry, beauty products and more are all things that could be included!”
